Job Opportunity - Attractional Mission Pastor - Gerrards Cross Methodist Church
Gerrards Cross Methodist Church seeks to appoint a Local Pastor for work as their
Attractional Mission Pastor. The appointment is for 18 hours a week with a starting salary of £13,850.
The successful applicant will be employed by the Amersham Methodist Circuit for work at Gerrards Cross Methodist Church. Funding is secured for the first five years of this appointment.
Details as follows:
To establish and update a digital presence for Gerrards Cross Methodist Church, making use of a variety of social media. Gerrards Cross is working to establish a digital presence in order to raise the profile of the church. This is part of our agreed direction of attractional mission.
To set up equipment for and run "Movers and Shakers" weekly during term time. This should take between 5 and 6 hours per session, with an additional 2 hours for administration and correspondence with speakers and members between
sessions. Each week, Movers and Shakers provides a meeting place, a speaker or other activity, an appropriate exercise session with a qualified instructor and a hot meal for up to 30 vulnerable and older people.
6 hours a week pastoral work. To allow time for approx. 2 sessions a week, visiting individual church members and attending Gerrards Cross social events in order to be well known to the wider congregation. To attend worship on at least one Sunday per month.
